McNair Scholars Program

McNair Scholars are STEM students who are first-generation college attendees, come from low-income backgrounds, and/or belong to ethnic groups traditionally underrepresented in graduate school. The program provides year-round, academic, and holistic support to help students initiate undergraduate research projects early in their undergraduate careers.

Scholars who complete the program have been admitted to and earned degrees from many well-respected universities throughout the world, including Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Columbia, UC-Berkeley, UW-Madison, Northwestern, Cambridge, and UNM.

Graduate Community Mentoring

The Graduate Community Mentoring (GCM) program is committed to nurturing the next generation of scholars and professionals by providing guidance and support to current graduate students, particularly those from diverse backgrounds.
